Music, on the house!
Third Thursday Jamestown, New York, is held every summer at one of the available event spaces in the city's downtown area. It is one of the many programs that the Active Artists Alliance (AAA) hosts in Chautauqua County. In 2018, I had the opportunity to help out and design the poster series for the year.
I made them the way I did, because the shows are more about the community than about the bands themselves — the reason THIRD THURS JTNY! is so large on the poster compared to the band names. Also, I wanted to make it absolutely clear that it was a concert series, not just a singular event, so my process took me to a modular typographic layout.

The colors within the posters are foreshadowing for the following poster, the secondary color of any given poster dictates the main color of the following month's poster. Yes, this was arbitrary. However, to me, it further reinforced the notion of continuation.
